After hard work it is a well-deserved rest

Sunday rest day today really lived up to the name. We finally had a day of rest. As you may have read here and here Tineke and I have gone through quite a few boxes in recent days. We finally moved most of my mother’s stuff to Grootegast.

Even though we had already selected the necessary boxes in Kornhorn, we still had a lot left over.

The hall was full of boxes for a while. You get quite tired of going up and down stairs in one house and then doing the same thing again in the other house.

Still, we didn’t feel like going into Sunday with a full hall. Every time you walk through the hall, the work smiles at you again. So I just have to bite the bullet and at least take the things to a bedroom where they are out of sight. We even brought boxes to the attic, where they are now placed on the self-made floors.

Even though we were both extremely tired, we still managed to complete the job. Tired, but satisfied, they say.

##Mowing the lawn again

Even then it wasn’t ready. It had rained regularly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So little time to mow the lawn. Since there were still some weeds growing between the grass, it was wise to mow. The mowing was done on the turbo mode: We had a BBQ in the evening.

In the end it looks neat again, from a distance. Due to the turbo mode, the grass has not grown the same length in all places. You can now see exactly the figures in the grass that I walked on. I think walking slower is better for the grass.

With all the work that goes into mowing the lawn, I can’t imagine it will be long before we have a robotic lawnmower.
