Do you want to relax? Then go diving

I have many hobbies. Friends say I have too many hobbies. I wonder if that’s possible. Maybe you can’t do everything as often as you would like. That doesn’t mean you don’t like it. Sometimes it’s fun just to be busy with something, like diving for example.
I really enjoy diving. The preparations, the dive itself, and the period afterwards. Not that I do it very often at the moment, in fact quite the opposite. Due to some ‘personal characteristics’ I do not think it is very responsible to dive at the moment.
The tranquility of diving
Diving is relaxing. At least that’s what everyone says. Me too. The feeling of weightlessness is insane. The peace, the tranquility under water. All you hear is the sound of your breathing and air bubbles.
All you see are fish, coral and marine life. If you leave it alone for a bit, some fish will even come to you. Impressive.
For me, diving is as relaxing as putting on headphones and just being with yourself. No distractions, no impressions, other than what your eyes see.
Learn to dive
Would you also like to dive? Then take a course. Real. At most holiday destinations you can come along if you have swimming trunks, but it is not wise. At least I think so.
During a diving course, for example the [Open Water Diver from PADI]( https://www.tuimelaar.nl/ duikcentrum/2/8/0/PADI-Open-Water-Diver), you learn the theory and practice of diving. You learn what you should and especially should not do. The big advantage of a diving course in the Netherlands is that you speak the language and that you do not dive under the most favorable conditions. In practice, this means that if you can dive in the Netherlands, you can dive anywhere.
The next step
Do you think diving is fun? Then take an introductory dive. For example, for 35 euros you can do an introductory dive at the Tuimelaar in Groningen . They start the evening with a short explanation about what diving actually is and a number of diving techniques. Immediately afterwards your dive starts. The dive is in the pool, so you don’t have to be afraid of the open water. You start with a number of exercises and then there is of course plenty of time to explore the pool.
The introductory dive is definitely worth it.
