Nice at the hairdresser

I still go to the hairdresser, even if I don’t really have to. Tineke could just as well do it with the clippers. Still, I choose to take a trip to the hairdresser once every few weeks.
Strangely enough, it is a kind of social happening.
I usually choose to go on a Friday. Nice and early in the morning. When you come to the hairdresser, coffee is usually ready. You can sit down in a chair while enjoying your coffee. Since it is still early in the morning, it is not very busy yet. You can still exchange a word with the hairdresser.
Busy at the hairdresser
Today was a little different. It was busy. Downright busy. While I still had to wake up half awake, I was able to ’enjoy’ four conversations at the same time. That was a bit too much for me.
it seemed as if everyone wanted to have their hair nicely styled before the holidays. One just came for points, another for a color rinse and a third for blonde locks. You can already tell that I’m starting to get used to it.
And of course they were all women. The hair salon does have a walk-in afternoon for men. You don’t have to make an appointment, but you never know when it will be your turn. I don’t really like that. Even though I’m usually not very planned in my free time, I also don’t like having to wait at the hairdresser, for example.
I mentally shut down this morning while waiting. Simply ‘zoom out’ the sound and read something on the phone until it was my turn.
And oh well, that’s fine. After all, it’s only fifteen minutes.
