100 days of blogging - progress after (almost) 25 blogs

I’m almost there… So at a quarter of the 100 blogs. I know, a quarter of a hundred is 25 blogs, but still. This is now the twenty-fourth blog.
When I look back at the first twenty, I can already draw some tentative conclusions.
I started very enthusiastically. Yes, really! That doesn’t mean I blogged every day, but still. If I counted correctly, I now do an average of six per week. Not quite what I wanted to do, but there are still more than zero.
The challenge
I’m not short of ideas. On the other hand, there is sometimes a lack of elaboration. I also have a lot to do and find a lot interesting. In addition, there will also be a new job starting next week. In other words, I have to use my time smarter, otherwise I won’t get to 100 blogs.
I notice that there is a desire to blog every day. If I haven’t written a blog by the end of the day, I force myself to write something. Sometimes I really have to make an effort, but usually the words come naturally. The hardest part is choosing a topic.
I do have a list of topics, but actually turning it into an article is not easy. Sometimes the topics are nothing more than a slogan I once heard (or said). Sometimes they are vague ideas that only require text to be created. You know, somewhat run-on sentences that appear to be free of spelling errors.
That’s how it goes with this article. At half past ten I thought I had to write something. Since it’s almost 25 articles, let’s just talk about that. And lo and behold, just under an hour later there is an article of more than four hundred words. Not surprising for such a short period.
However, that does not mean that this always works. Last week, when it was so hot, it wouldn’t do anything. I even got rid of it by posting a video from ten years ago. It was an interesting video, yes, but still.
Actions and intentions
As you can see, writing 100 blogs still requires some effort. To prevent it from remaining just a nice idea, I have planned a number of actions and made resolutions for myself.
- Make a list of topics. The more specific the better.
- Research the topics I want to write about. Please include this information in the article.
- Work ahead. Write multiple articles at once. A blog every day does not mean that you have to write every day.
- When I start writing, I make sure I don’t get distracted. So no TV on, but music. And then also music that I can concentrate on.
If I come up with more, I will definitely add it to this article. Who knows, it might be of some use to you.
