The Perfect Coffee

Making coffee is relatively simple, you buy coffee, filter bags and you can even get started with a kettle of hot water. Making good coffee, on the other hand, is an art. There is more to it than just buying a pack of coffee and filter bags and then making a pot of coffee. And when we talk about perfect coffee, that question is certainly not easy to answer.

The coffee beans

It starts with the coffee beans. Which type do you choose? Arabica or Robusta? Or a combination of these? Arabica gives a milder taste, Robusta a firm one and is often somewhat bitter. Where do the beans come from today? This also has an effect on the taste. What kind of roasting have the beans had? Normal? or slow roast, where the roasting takes longer, but the longer time has a positive influence on the taste and aroma.

Personally, I use slow roast Arabica coffee beans from Mocca d’Or . This [I order]/koffie-bestellen-via-een-nfc-tag-in-home-assistant/ via the website of Konkeltje from Zwolle.

The grinding

You also have different choices for grinding coffee. Do you use a grinder with knives? Or with grinding discs? The best choice is grinding, by the way.

The water

Of course, it takes more to make good coffee, including good, tasty water. It must be the right temperature for your coffee or espresso.

Coffee maker

The choice of the machine you ultimately use to make your perfect coffee also determines the taste. Are you going for a fully automatic machine? One that does everything yourself, or do you pour it yourself the old-fashioned way? Or would you rather go for a percolator?

Money is currently being collected on KickStarter for a project that has many pretensions:

They claim that with this coffee maker you will never make bad coffee again.

This coffee maker can prepare exactly as desired based on sensors. One of my favorite options is that you can make a cup of coffee by indicating your personal preferences on your smartphone, which can then be made by the coffee maker.
