The Home Stretch
Posted on December 20, 2006 • 1 min read • 201 wordsThere’s such a difference in various companies. You notice this now as it comes to the last leg of the year.
At one company, employees are starting to get stressed because there was a budget left over. All sorts of things have been designed and purchased for this, which often have to be implemented before the end of the year. They work up to the last minute. Despite fewer and fewer people being present, it seems as if there are more and more tasks and people’s fuses become shorter and shorter.
At the other company, you notice that it’s the last days of the year because everyone is busy with all sorts of other things like checking out a new subscription for the phone or looking for all sorts of funny Christmas pictures and songs. There are also fewer and fewer people present. In these types of companies, you often see that consideration has been given to public holidays and department staffing. Often, complicated tasks are not carried out precisely because everyone is entitled to a peaceful Christmas and a fantastic New Year’s Eve.
All in all, it’s a festive time again.. And now it’s time for the Christmas drinks :D
