I have no idea how I manage it, but they usually do not last very long. The only headphones that hold up reasonably well are the standard Apple earbuds that ship with iPhones—and, of course, Sennheiser headphones.</p> <p>I prefer in-ear headphones: the earpiece sits really <em>in</em> the ear (intra-aural), and ideally with slightly soft tips. With the standard Apple Earpods I immediately get sore ears; apparently my ears do not like hard materials much.</p>
