New headphones: The Sennheiser Momentum M2 IEi

It was time again for new headphones to use with my phone. I have no idea how I manage it, but they usually do not last very long. The only headphones that hold up reasonably well are the standard Apple earbuds that ship with iPhones—and, of course, Sennheiser headphones.

I prefer in-ear headphones: the earpiece sits really in the ear (intra-aural), and ideally with slightly soft tips. With the standard Apple Earpods I immediately get sore ears; apparently my ears do not like hard materials much.

I finally know what I want… my own kinky home theater.
After some browsing on the internet I found the following article. This article describes a couple of steps on how to build your own home theater and what to watch.

        <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="block"><semantics><mrow><mi>h</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>p</mi><mo>:</mo><mi mathvariant="normal">/</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">/</mi><mi>w</mi><mi>w</mi><mi>w</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">.</mi><mi>e</mi><mi>l</mi><mi>e</mi><mi>c</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>r</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>i</mi><mi>c</mi><mi>h</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>u</mi><mi>s</mi><mi>e</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">.</mi><mi>c</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>m</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">/</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>r</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>i</mi><mi>c</mi><mi>l</mi><mi>e</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">/</mi><mi>p</mi><mi>l</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>i</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>g</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>g</mi><mi>u</mi><mi>i</mi><mi>d</mi><mi>e</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mn>10</mn><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>s</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>e</mi><mi>p</mi><mi>s</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>o</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>a</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>h</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>m</mi><mi>e</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">_</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>h</mi><mi>e</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>t</mi><mi>e</mi><mi>r</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">/</mi></mrow><annotation encoding="application/x-tex">http://www.electronichouse.com/article/planning\_guide\_10\_steps\_to\_a\_home\_theater/</annotation></semantics></math>

        <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="block"><semantics><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow><annotation encoding="application/x-tex">1</annotation></semantics></math>

In the weeks/months to follow I will keep you posted on some design things I’m gonna do.
HD-DVD Processing key, the new storm on the web.

The AACS licensing authority is upset that the processing key for HD-DVD is published on the web and they are trying to hit companies like Google and news feeds to remove the numbers, unfortunately on a series of hexadecimal numbers you can’t get a copyright. Would be very silly if every network card would be stated with their MAC address in the Copyright lists.

Also this number is only part of the equation for the copyright protection (drm), but the fact that the AACS is running around screaming @ companies like Google and news feeds to remove the links or the processing key is attracting more and more attention at the moment.
